Fred H. Heisel Jr.
Fred
H. Heisel Jr. was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on November 9, 1910 and
educated in the Cincinnati Public Schools. He graduated from the
University of Cincinnati where he attended Evening College.
While at the University he was initiated into the Beta Eta Chapter
of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity in 1950 and was in Good Standing for
Over 50Years.
Fred
served the Fraternity in many Leadership roles and stressed giving
back to the community’. He was instrumental in establishing the
Cincinnati Alumni Scholarship Fund which later became the Fred
Heisel Scholarship Fund.
Fred’s Dream was for the Cincinnati Alumni
Chapter to own a Fraternity House. That Dream became a reality in
the Mid-1980’s
Fred was a Life Member of Kappa Alpha Psi and
encouraged every Brother to become a Life Member.
Fred was very generous to the Cincinnati
Alunmi Chapter financially and with his active participation in all
Fraternity sponsored activities.
The Kappa House of Beecher Street in Walnut
Hills bears Fred’s Name.
